Dr. Wheeler is originally from Huntsville , Alabama. She received her Bachelor of Science in General Business graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Alabama while also acquiring her prerequisites for entry into Vet School. Next, she attended Auburn University from 2004-2008, graduating Magna Cum Laude as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she moved to North Carolina to pursue a veterinary internship at Neuse River Veterinary Hospital in Wendell, NC a mixed animal practice that specialized in caring for equine and small animals.

In 2019, she founded On Point Mobile Veterinary with the desire to bring high quality integrated veterinary medicine to the comfort and convenience of the home environment via a house call practice.
She especially enjoys managing geriatric and internal medicine cases (kidney/renal, cardiovascular, endocrine) as well as skin conditions such as allergies. She is a lifelong learner and devoted to finding new ways to improve the quality of life of the pets she sees. Because of this desire, she has become certified in Veterinary Acupuncture, Veterinary Medical Manipulation (similar to human chiropractic), Veterinary Palliative and End of Life care and Veterinary Food Therapy.

Outside of practicing veterinary medicine, she enjoys watching Auburn football, going to the beach and the lake, and spending time with her horses riding and competing. Pictured below, are some the family pets, Bella (Min Pin mix rescue) and two horses Merlin an Anglo-Arabian cross and Joe Frank an OTTB (Off the Track Thoroughbred). Over the last few years she lost the best boxer in the world, Tuff and the equally best in the world orange kitty Hobbes, as well as the best JRT (Jack Russell Terrier) Sully and tiny kitty Lucky (DSH).
