
Dr. Wheeler is originally from Huntsville, Alabama and before moving to North Carolina in 2008 to begin her career in veterinary medicine attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile Alabama for her undergraduate studies followed by Auburn University for vet school. War Eagle.​
In 2019, she founded On Point Mobile Veterinary with the desire to bring high quality integrated veterinary medicine to the comfort and convenience of the home environment via a house call practice. She enjoys getting to know her patients and pet parents in the home care environment and understands they are a part of your family. There is never a wonder if you are going to see the same vet with our practice. It will always be Dr. Wheeler offering a high continuity of care for your pets.
Dr Wheeler especially enjoys managing geriatric and internal medicine cases (kidney/renal, cardiovascular, endocrine) as well as skin conditions such as allergies. She is a lifelong learner and devoted to finding new ways to improve the quality of life of the pets she sees. Because of this desire, she has become certified in Veterinary Acupuncture, Veterinary Medical Manipulation (similar to human chiropractic), Veterinary Palliative and End of Life care and Veterinary Food Therapy. ​Outside of practicing veterinary medicine, she enjoys watching Auburn football, going to the beach and the lake, and spending time with her horses both pleasure riding and competing.
